Today there was lively activity in the Operndorf school garden: students and teachers worked together to harvest the peanuts they had planted in both the small and large garden beds. With great care and effort, the plants were gently pulled from the soil and the freshly harvested peanuts collected.
However, the work is not yet finished, about two-thirds of the peanut field still remain to be harvested in the coming days. Everyone is already looking forward to gathering the remaining plants and then weighing and processing the yield.
We would also like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to the ZukunftSpenden Foundation for their generous financial support of our school garden!
