Workshop, Music and new connections

The visit of artists Nick Michi and Leopold Dais from the cultural association Symposia to Opera Village left a lasting impression on all participants. A few days ago, the two artists held an interactive workshop with the schoolchildren, focusing on art and music. The canvases painted by the children during the workshop have since been displayed on the front of the school – a colorful symbol of creative expression and local collaboration.

During their stay, a musical piece was also created: Leopold produced a track inspired by the unique atmosphere of Opera Village. The result is a sonic portrait of the place – another expression of how art, in all its forms, can build bridges between people and cultures. In addition to their artistic work on-site, Nick and Leopold are currently planning another event inspired by their experience at Opera Village. Next Wednesday, they will host an interdisciplinary art event at the cultural space “NO STRESS” in Ouagadougou. This visit once again highlights the importance of preserving spaces like Opera Village – places where encounters, creative processes, and shared learning open up new possibilities.
