We are creating new learning spaces

From autumn 2026, we want to give children and young people at the Opera Village and from the surrounding community new opportunities to access digital education. In workshops, participants will learn basic computer skills, explore digital applications and discover creative technologies. The programme will also include first accessible experiences with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

In doing so, we are connecting digital education with the artistic focus of the Opera Village: children and young people should not only learn how to use digital tools, but also how to use them to develop their own ideas, work creatively and discover new perspectives.

To launch the workshops, we need used but fully functional Windows laptops, tablets and technical equipment. Particularly suitable devices include Lenovo ThinkPads, Dell Latitude, HP EliteBooks and Microsoft Surface devices. Laptops that are being phased out by companies as part of IT upgrades or the transition to Windows 11 can still be a valuable resource at the Opera Village for many years to come.

The devices will be prepared and configured for the workshops and will remain at the Opera Village afterwards. This will create sustainable technical infrastructure that can also be used for future educational programmes.
